Interior Design

Nowadays, we are swamped with magazines and TV programmes showing how makeovers can improve and increase the value of our homes. It all sounds and looks easy but without the knowledge and the imagination to achieve the desired effect, it can seem rather daunting.

Interior Design essentially speaks for itself. Colour co-ordination and knowledge of style are the key principles and starting points for creating and achieving the right result for your home. Changing the colour of the walls and adding texture to the floor can dramatically change the look and style of a room. Re-arranging your furniture can make way for more useful space. Adding new accessories likes lamps, mirrors, vases and cushions can add colour, texture and style that enable these finishing touches to complete the transformation or a re-designer room. Successful design is about having the now-how, in order to put the designed scheme together.

Material Things is here to offer you this special service:

We take into account your own personal requirements and work with these. Whether re-upholstering your existing suite or purchasing new furniture to completely change the style of a room, we guarantee a very high level of attentive and consistent service.

Firstly we make an appointment for a consultation where our designer will visit your home. Prior to this we will contact you to decide upon general ideas of changes, colour and style. Upon consultation we will take measurements of the room, including windows. A floor plan and window design treatment can then be artistically created.

Photographs will be taken for the designer to analyse and create a "Before" and "After" appearance. Assorted fabric and wallpaper books will be brought along to discuss ideas on suitable colour and design schemes for your home.

From this consultation, the designer will produce a design sample board, specific to your needs. Our designer will explain the key features, window design treatment, flooring, furniture and accessories to achieve a visual transformation of your room.
